The following case studies explore Grounded In’s work in practice, reflecting on the questions, decisions and experiences that have shaped the work over time. Rather than presenting polished outcomes, they focus on what actually happens through each project and the tensions, surprises and insights that come from working with people and nature.
Each case study is grounded in a specific place and shaped by an enquiry, offering a glimpse into how the work unfolds alongside communities, within landscapes and in relationship with the living systems around us. Over time, I hope these reflections will help develop ‘more than human’ design methodologies and contribute to wider conversations about how people and nature shape places together. The work sits somewhere between practice and research, evolving through each new project.
